AKVision sent me a few boxes last week. I finally cracked them today.

I'd post the finished deal in a few days, but I found something in the tank that may sideline me.......

You may need to get a box of small flat nuts and BB's to get the red paint out, if that is what is coming loose.  (Pre- POR15).
Thanks for getting started on this.  May is right around the corner..  btw, the petcock is fully functional 8)

My parts are away to the sprayers at the moment, didn't trust myself with spraying.

Hey guys... the Blue parts are from a con bike i bought... formerly known as the "BluV".   Turned out to be a t..d  with a frozen engine and distroyed flywheel,,,and corrosion galore.

The benifit was that some visinaries... got some good parts for good to keep the other old girls on the road.

I think all visions are girls.   Sweet, but fussy

I got a stator!! Thank you again, AK!! She does look sweet... I like that color on her.. I like the YJ too.. Choices,, I have some time,, this vision project is getting put off for an unknown time.. I get to go back to work but in branson!! I get to move there in mid may.. Hopefully, I'll work long enough to afford to get the old girl done when I get home...

for those who don't know, if the switch fails (either the brass pins wears short or the spring breaks) 3 things happen:
1) the light won't come on when your in neutral.
2) the bike won't start with the side stand down, in neutral
3) the bike won't restart in gear sidestand up, clutch pullled in. (think stalled in traffic)

If you can weld, I can get you an 83 brake pedal.  (the foot rest broke off at the weld)

   Somthing to think about with regards to the 83 rear brake pedal - if you fall over on the right side it will crack the case. This is on a garage tip over, the pedal pad cracks the case.
  A suggestion if you are rewelding the pad to the arm -at the same time weld a small plate to the inboard side of the pad,this increases the surface area & stops the pad from doing damage to the side cover.
            Experience nothin like it !!   ;)

No it's in the transmission on the left side, you have to remove the side stand to see it.  it's simply a spring loaded plunger that contacts a protution on one of the gear levers in the trans.  easy to change out.

ps... the defunct parts bike is a 1982 model... is the brake pedal the same as 83???

If it is, I have the 82 brake pedal.
