Bought some anti freeze from the local Yam dealer today.
Castrol "anti freeze, anti boil concentrate". States 95% monoethylene glycol. Is this OK for the XZ? Doesn't state anywhere about silicates.

Also what concetration is recomended 50/50 to water ot greater?

Hi Glyn -

Go ahead and mix it 50 - 50. ?I did a little research and found an owner maintenance site where he uses the same coolant concentrate and mixes it with distilled water. ?Another site had the premixed version of the anti freeze and Castrol states that it is specially formulated for all water cooled motorcycles. ?It should work fine in a V!

Good luck and don't forget to burp the system!
If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.
