G'day from Down Under.

Can anyone supply links re... a fork brace,  rubber boot for clutch lever & those small rubber boots on the brake calipers sliding section?     If anyone in Oz needs a new silencer, after market ones can be had from:- www.tranzac.com.au who are located in Brisbane; they evidently still have all the jigs/patterns.

G'day and welcome from Brisbane.
The part number for the clutch lever cover is 11H-26372-00-00. Speedsupplies.com seems to have it for US$19.58. If you google the part number a few other sites come up also. Not sure of the other brake part you are referring to, but if you PM me your email I can send you the parts fiche as a PDF.

I know exactly what rubber boots you speak of - small accordion shaped things that keep dust off the machined slider pins. I'd be interested in a supplier as well. Mine sat with fork oil on them so long they deteriorated.

the slider boots are parts numbers

5R2-25937-00-00 = $13.10 each
and
4X8-25917-00-00 = $17.23 each

if you have dual calipers... thats ONLY $60 plus for four bits of rubber

Try using the XZ550 fiche file, these this site: http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm
Makes things easier when you can tell the bloke at the bike shop that you want XJ600 caliper pins for example.. It seems to be the case in Australia that asking for Vision parts will get you a laugh  :-\ ???

Night Vision, they are nice braces but I may have to save my pennies for awhile.

Am I missing something? They only list Yamaha Fiche to 1990? Anyway, the part # look-up seemed to work with the numbers provided by Night Vision. Interestingly, the first part seems to have made it's way into many models whereas the second only lists 2 applications.

I use the Yamaha site for part numbers.. they have the Vision listed

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx

I will caution that they don't always show superceded part numbers... but once I get a number, a google search usually shows any updated part numbers
