Early 82 Vs Late 82

I'm looking at picking up an earlier 82 ( without the flapper mod). I have a late 82 ( with the flapper ).
Are most of the parts interchangeable?
I know the carbs are different, but can i use the floats from them for the newer 82?
Besides the carbs/ air box is there much of a difference?

Besides the front carb top, filter, air box top, front carb breather filter disc and slight jetting change is there much of a difference? no
