I've been busy organizing a startup weekend that is about to wrap up this afternoon (southbend.startupweekend.org) which means that I'll finally get to have some sleep tomorrow :)

I'm starting to get hooked on meetups like this. The coolest part is networking with interesting people that share skills and hobbies with you. I really want to hold a maker fair (makezine.com kind of stuff), there's a global game jam coming in January, and another friend of mine wants to organize a programming competition...

Does anybody around here participate in networking/hobby meetup events like this?
