Does anybody have a recommendation for a good start map iphone app? I'm getting into astronomy again and want to actually look for specific things instead of just browsing around the sky like I have in the past.

The top edge of the moon was pretty neat this evening with all of the shadows around the craters and valleys. I've been watching the moons around Jupiter too. I think I want to go down the messier list one at a time as a beginner goal.

Thanks for the input!

You need to contact H2O Lawyer he's big into astronomy.

(Haven't heard from him in some time :()

If I remember I'll check my phone for the one I have.  It's probably a scan the sky type, but I know you can bring up satellites overhead and such as well.

Ah, such fun to be out riding...

H2O spends much spare time star gazing. He will respond to emails though. Me , I'm a moon guy , my scope isn't big enough for much  star gazing!
