83 Carb Guru Needed

Can any  83  carb guru advise if my front carb should have a  'ball'  like the rear carb?   Thanks in advance.

I have a set of '83's on the bench I'll check and see.

 What you have is normal, the back carb has the accell pump, and below that ball is a check ball to keep gas moving forward and out the nozzles. The rear carb picture below the ball shows the hole for letting gas in to supply the pump curcit.  The front has no hole and no ball. both pictures are correct.
