Normally I ride through the year here in the far SW of UK , but its a bit windy of late.
4th storm in so many weeks with 70+mph winds again tomorrow.
The current largest waves in the world are arriving around our shores at the moment.
Link to a local paper with some decent pictures. http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Monster-waves-warning-Devon-Cornwall-coast/story-20402431-detail/story.html
I may try and go see the Red Bull storm chasers this weekend who are about a mile away from where I live. another link http://www.redbullstormchase.com/mission-3
I hope my fellow UK riders are okay and not flooded out as so many people here have been.

fret not

Rather impressive pics on that link Lexx, and a lot of wind.  Just think of it as nothing more than fluid dynamics and gravity.  I'm comfortable here on solid land at the moment, listening to the rain finally arrive, and glad I'm not facing such an onslaught from the sea.
Retired, on the downhill slide. . . . . . . . still feels like going uphill!

When I see storms like that, there is a sense of awe but I'm glad I'm not the one enduring the weather.

Well I went on Saturday to see the storm chasers at Gwithean beach but they moved it as the waves were too big and messy.
They moved 3 miles to the other end of the beach where the waves were a bit smaller but cleaner.
By the time I found out and got through all the traffic it started to pour down, so I went home.  :-[
Then today I was going out again today only to find the event cancelled due to good weather.  ;D
Now to wait for another few days until the next storm.
