Kawasaki starter cluch for XZ?

This appeared on a local auction site claiming that the same clutch would suit the XZ. Anyone know if this is correct?

Kawasaki made a 'ZX550' model in 1984.

you see more than a few mislabeled items on ebay.

things listed as xz550 items when they are in fact zx550.

I sometimes do a search on 'zx550' and find hidden xz550 gold

Our starter clutch doesn't have a lip like that, I would think that as long as the outer and inner dimensions are the same it should be okay.      BDC

Personally I would not spend that much money and not know if it would fit.  A brand new starter clutch for our XZ550 is still available from Yamaha dealers for about $100usd, and you can bet it fits, and it would be NEW.

That's a very good point although the span of years for "XZ550 XZ 550" in the ad isn't correct for the A model Kawi. It does seems closer to the XZ production run so maybe there is something to it? Not sure how the lip plays into this though. Given the $80 starting bid, Fret Nut's point is valid as well.
