Other bikes, I have a few. Along with my 83 Vision with 56,000 miles on it. I have.
1968 BSA Victor Shooting star, 25,000 miles.
1975 BMW R75/6, with 175,000 miles on it.
1975 Norton Commando 35,000 miles.
2008 BMW R1200R 34,000 miles.
And 3 BSA dirt bikes and 2 Hondas, A TLR200 and a TL125.

With the exception of the Vision that I bought in two boxes with 19,000 miles on it, I've ridden all the rest to their current mileage.

Ken, that is a serious amount of saddle time.  What sort of seat would you recommend for long days on the road?  What worked best for you?

Hi Mike. My old BMW has the best seat on it. The Vision seat is not bad if the foam is good. I found a new one in a bone yard. My newer BMW has the factory comfort seat on it, it's pretty good.  I think the best seat I've had was a Corbin I had on a K100 BMW.
I ride the BSA and the Norton on club rides now neither get serious mileage any more.  I've ridden both BMW's on Saddle sore events and have ridden the Vision on 500 mile days.

Cheers.
Ken G.

Thanks, Ken.  I will probably go about massaging the original seat.  I read some ideas on the KLR forum of how to build the foam up and carve it down a bit in some areas.
