I've gotten deeper into my replacement vision and found that the stator is dead. So  I removed the left case from the blue bike  and checked it out. Found that the ballancer nut was loose and that my old stator wasn't long for this world!  Today  rounded up the essentials to rewind my own . I found a wire that is rated at 200.f  and the motor rewinder I talked to, said its manditory to encapsulate the windings in epoxy.  I found a 600.f epoxy  to use.  I'm about half way through putting this one back togeather. I'll keep you all posted!

Today, with the help of my son-in-law  Rick, we installed the tapered rollers in the front end, that I never got around to installing in the previous bike. The MACs arrived friday so we put those on too!  I've started sanding and applying primer to some of the plastic , the tank is already POR15'd  so I'm going to fix a couple of small  dents with Bondo. I'm hoping to get started on the Stator rebuild this week too.
