Last week or so you inquired about a flexible paint.  This last weekend I ran across the paint that I refered you to in that earlier post.  The manufacturer is Plasti-kote.  The lable describes the product as Flexible Bumper and Trim Color.  It goes on to say that the product is an "exact match, flexible finish coat for plastic and metal bumpers and trim".

My can carries the specific product identification: "1895 semi-gloss black".  It was purchased from Pep Boys about four years ago.  Good luck.  Cheers.

Thanks for the info Q, sounds like the stuff might be good for faded rubber fairing mirror boots and such, which I could also use.  for the luggage rack though I was thinking of a thicker rubber type coating, something that could take the abuse of bungee cords.  I was also thinking of using enamal spray, and baking it (20 min @ 300 sounds about right) but it occured to me to wonder about the primer coat underneath...

Thanks for thinking of me when you were in the shop!
