just a few questions, does anyone knows some data for the yamaha XZ 400 1982 model please?

there's another difference with the vision than the engine size and body work?

i dunno if this topic is in the right board, sorry if i'm wrong.

otherwise, excuse my english,

thanx in advance

Humber

To tell the truth my eyes have never seen XZ400. Once I was amazed to see a photo of (probably) XZ550 and it was deascribed as XZ400, You can see the baby here

http://www.benvanhelden.nl/Condorclub/xz550/XZ550startpagina.html

Next thing is that I have never seen XZ400 records in any of spare parts catalogue.

The V on the picture looks like XZ550 and I really don't think that sth like XZ400 ever existed.

Hi Humber,  The XZ400 has been reported on the old forum, in Japan , South Africa and Russia. Sergi  in Moscow has a 400 and a fellow in South Africa, whose name escapes me. As far as I know the only differance is the bore and stroke.

OT: how much cost a vision, or an XZ 400?

i have payed 500 U$D for a complete bike, (but not working)

and 100 U$D for a working engine.

was right prices?

Sergey

Hi, Chefara.
I own both models

Difference only in engine - bore&stroke. .
(so different are the pistons, shaft, rods)
also the 400 model does not have fuel pumps as for the cylinders are shorter and carburetors are located underneath the level of the tank. .
and number of clutch plates - 6
Japanese 400 doesn't have fuel indicator.
