I got myself a new back tire for the blue bike, and when I was mounting it, I spun the tire to set the rear brakes, and there was a clicking sound.? That was strange, so I put blackie up on the centerstand, put her in Neutral, and spun the back tire and no clicking.? Uh-oh!? that can not be good.? Not knowing what it was, I put the old back tire on there (thinking that maybe it was from the rear rim I was using) but it clicked also.? so I pull out the shaft drive, and the connection arm that goes from the u-joint to the shaft drive was stuck in the u-joint.? pryed that out, grabbed an extra shaft drive I had, put it all back together, spun the tire, and no clicking sound.? I was curious to find out what happened, so I checked the gear oil, and it looked fine, so I have no idea why it started going out.? These shaft drives typically are great, but do not forget to check those shaft drives.? Low maintenence does not equal no maintenence!
A bad marrage is like dirty carbs... It just makes everything else suck.
