what kind of wires for the stator?

Hi everyone,

I have a spare stator that I'll put on the yellow vision (hopefully that's going to get her running fine!) It's all red and nice and not crispy-toasted. And the numbers are within spec.

The wires were cut off close to the rubber plugs (through which the wires pass). I'll need to solder new wires and run these all the way to the (relocated) R/R and the other wires (the ones leading to the TCI? Can't remember off hand).

In any case, the question is: what kind of wire should I use? I mean, there's a question of gauge here, but also, are there different grades wrt heat resistance? The wires run next to the engine, so I can only guess not just any kind of wire insulator would do...? ???

Thanks

Louis

Any copper wire with a guage size larger or at least as large as that which you are soldering to.

I would buy the highest grade of heat resistant wire  I could find.
