winter project

I've been working on #4. Before & after pictures of rear wheel. I wet sand with #400 sandpaper then #1500 & #2000. I'm guessing about 6 hour/per wheel.

I used Mothers Aluminum Polish and got fairly close but still had the deep blemishes.  Nothing beats wet sanding though.  Looks very good.  I guess I'll put that on my project list.

Wheels look great!

Using the barrel with the rubber hose around the rim is a good idea.

Do the wheels have the plastic coating like the engines do?

No, they are bare metal. Footpeg mounts and fork lowers are coated.
