I'm wanting to remove the middle driveshaft cover. It looks like there are four bolts from the side holding it on and a bearing retainer bolt from the rear. Is there any special I need to be aware of when removing it?

I have never taken mine off nor have I felt a need to. If you look at the manual, you will find that there are a lot of steps involved. You can do it if you really have to but you should consider whether you need to.

I ended up removing the shaft cover, no big deal. Five bolts holding the cover on and removed outer bearing retainer bolt and loosened the other 2. Sanded and polished long time, now it goes back on and I find something else to work on.

That cover must look great all polished. I used masking tape around the outside of the center and
just polished the center of it.
