So I patched the hole in my exhaust with some galvanized metal flashing, hose clamps and high temp sealant and took her for a ride the other day.  After changing the brake tensioner bolts of course.  Anywho, she shifts through all 5 gears nicely, seems to have good power.  Tha carbs definatly need to be cleaned, and thats what Im doing after work today.  Wish me luck.

Cool!   8)

The peskiness of Vision carbs is really how poorly they perform with tiny amounts of crud in them.  The actual tear down, dip, clean & rebuild isn't very difficult at all.  I've done many more difficult automotive carbs over the years.  Getting the V' carbs adjusted & synched properly takes some time & patience, though.

If you have an accident on a motorcycle, it's always your fault. Tough call, but it has to be that way. You're in the right, and dead -on a bike. The principle is not to have any accident. If you're involved in an an accident, it's because you did not anticipate. Then, by default, you failed.
