Has anyone wired the brown wire (voltage sensing source) directly to the + side of the battery?  Just did an an extensive archive search on the brown wire and it seems that that is the cure for overcharging.  I'm concerned that taking the brown wire unswitched straight to + could cause discharge problems when the key is off.  Anybody made this modification without encountering discharge problems?

That's the way I have it, zero voltage draw, just make sure that it's unhooked from the rest of the brown wire that goes to the switch.   so hook a wire right from the R/R brown wire straight to the Pos.  I also hooked the ground wire straight to the Neg. , looking for the best path for the regulator to shunt the extra voltage to ground ,this is not to correct overcharge, the brown wire does that... I think on some new R/R they build in the sence connection straight to pos.
