A CDL in CA. can stand for two things , either a California Drivers Licence or  a(California) Commercial Drivers licence.

Any chance that you will be traveling west on Hiway 40 , through Arizona?  If so let me know in advance , I'll be pleased to buy you lunch and give you an escort for a while.

The C would stand for Commercial in this case.

Say-Rick many thanks & one of these days I will ride out your way on the Vision & take you up on your offer,Retirement can't come soon enough although I am a bit up in the air with all the economy stuff.
The "CDL" I work with stands for  "Configuration Deviation List" which in airplane lingo refers to all the bits & pieces you can fly without which are not Primary pieces of the airplane.(wings, flaps, rudder ect) toilet service doors, flap canoes, winglets & certain fairings  all fall into the list as long as they are in the CDL. We also have an "MEL" which is similar but involves pumps, computers ect.
I'm heading overseas again as another Canadian Soldier was killed in Afganistan. Sad time this brings our total to 104 killed.
