I just got my braided stainless lines for the 82.  Opened the package and see 3 separate lines that are about 15 inches long.  I don't have a brake line strecher so I called ALL BIKE BRAKES out of Florida and esplane the problemo to them.  Evidently their books call for this set for the xz part#ABF9486.

They asked that I measure the current line (38"-- measure twice cut once) and send this back and they will send the correct line.

Just a bump in the road to recovery. :P

I paid $73 for the line.  Just don't tell me if I overpaid. ;)

That sounds like an 83 split setup.

What you need is the splitter piece.  These bikes look evah so much better with a single line coming out of the MC.
I have a spare if you cover postage from NZ and can't get one more locally

Race bikes all use the two line setup, but the three piece will work fine .

In which case he needs a fork lower, rotor and caliper to make the  lines work ;)

Rick G

He needs both lowers and 2 discs too.

Lucky is right. I have an 82. (The battery wires got here. Awesome work!)  The wierd part is the three lines are only 15 inches long.  Without a line stretcher they no workee.  ABB is going to trade me three that don't fit for one that does.
