Somehow I have lost my spark plug wrench.
I bought a new one ata ridiculous price, but it's waaay too long.  What's the ideal length to cut it down to?

The one in my Yamaha tool kit measures 3 and 3/4inches.  (95mm)  BDC

I just use a standard 18mm deep socket with a 3/8" drive.  I know it doesn't have the rubber grommet that will hold the spark plug, but you can thread/unthread the plug by hand and use the socket to tighten/loosen it.  It's not as cramped as when you are trying to work on a modern V6 FWD american car and the firewall is a mere inch or two away.

And it is cheaper and easier to find and fits into the recess very well with no mods.
Keep it upright and she'll always be happy!
